AWP 2011: Where to find Typecast

AWP 2011: Where to find Typecast

If you’re one of the brave souls headed out to AWP 2011, we can’t wait to see you there. This year, Typecast will be around the conference in a myriad of ways, so please take a look at our offerings and come introduce yourself.

BOOK FAIR: We will be sharing a table with our partners-in-crime, Forklift, Ohio and H_NGM_N.
Our table is again in the Table X section of the fair, table i5. We’ll try to be easy to spot!
We’ll have The Lumberyard for sale, as well as our first two book titles, Matthew Lippman’s Monkey Bars and our Gulf Coast restoration project, Oil + Water, which is both a collection of writings from Pinsky to Harvey as well as an art project you’ll love to feel and own.

Matthew Lippman will be signing copies of Monkey Bars at 3pm, Thurs. Feb. 3rd at the Typecast table.

On Thursday, Lumberyard editor Jen Woods will join a panel of fine journal-makers for BEYOND TIMES NEW ROMAN: The Literary Journal as Object.
4:30pm – 5:30pm, Nathan Hale Room
Marriott Wardman Park
RSVP HERE, but not required for attendance.

Our first offsite reading is just after the panel on Thursday.
JOURNAL PORN: Lit Mags You’d Sleep With.
We’ll be sharing the stage with readers from a handful of innovative journals. Readers from past and future Lumberyard issues include Katie Byrum and Matthew Lippman. RSVP HERE.

.

And last but far from least, we’ll be heading up the GUERRILLA READING with our table-mates again this year.
Just like last time, we’ll be announcing the time and location on this site, as well as on twitter and the designated Facebook page HERE. If you missed last year, don’t make the same mistake twice. A little release from the buzzings of AWP will keep the muse with you all year long. Typecast readers include Jennifer L. Knox and M. Bartley Seigel.
UPDATE: The Guerilla Reading will take place at The Lincoln Memorial at 7pm sharp, Friday, Feb. 4th.
